Invitation to Baby and Toddler group Nov 14

Baby & Toddler group: Being a new parent can be difficult! Once the cards have come down and visitors stop knocking, being a mum or dad can be quite an isolating experience for some despite all the joy it also brings. It’s difficult to get out of the house and the day can feel like a procession of bottles and nappies. It’s very healthy to share the experience with other people encountering the same journey. That is why I would encourage our parents to come to our baby and toddler group with Mrs Sherwood. My own new son Matthew will be coming along after Christmas! Mr Byrne

Mrs Sherwood is hoping to encourage them to attend on Wednesdays at 9.05. She says:
Having had 3 children of my own, I can understand how isolating it can feel to be a stay at home Mum. I also know how beneficial it is to be given the opportunities to mix with other Mums and Dads in similar positions. Before coming to work at Holy Spirit I had held many stay and play sessions in children centres throughout Sefton. With the experience gained I was keen to start a stay and play session at Holy Spirit. The sessions have been extremely popular and from the feedback I have received from Mums and Dads in the local area they and their children have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the session and joining in with messy play, snack, songs and arts and crafts activities. We are now in the position to offer additional spaces, the session runs on a Wednesday morning from 9.00-10.30. You do not have to have siblings within the school, this is open to all Mums and Dads in the local area who wish to come along. If you know of anyone, or are interested in taking part please call the office and ask for Laura Sherwood, your place will then be confirmed. (Mrs L Sherwood)
