The School Day at Holy Spirit
Beginning of the day
Nursery children should be accompanied by their parents to the nursery for arrival from 8.30 am.
All other children should be taken to line up at the correct place on the yard with the rest of their class. Class teachers or TA's will be out on the yard from 8.50 and will be available to speak to parents and receive messages before collecting children when the bell goes at 8.55 am
End of the day
Nursery children should be collected from the nursery from 11.30 and 3pm.
Parents of all other children should wait on the yard behind the yellow line to allow all children to leave the building safely. Parents must not collect other families children, unless the parent or guardian of that child has contacted school in advance to grant permission.
8.30 - 8.45 am. Morning session starts.
11.30 - 11.45 am. Morning session ends.
12.15 - 12.30 pm. Afternoon session starts.
3.00 - 3.15 pm. Afternoon session ends.
All other classes
Reception class through to year 6
8.55 am. School Starts. Bell/Registration -
Children should be in line by 8.50 if possible and no later than 8.55. Parents have an opportunity to speak to the teacher or class representative at 8.50. Parents are pleased asked to step back from the pupil lines to allow easier access into school. At 8.55 as the bell rings, parents are asked not to enter the school building for safety reasons and to leave the playground as soon as possible to allow the gate to be locked. Pupils arriving after the locked gate must be signed in late by an adult at the school office.
10.45 - 11.00 am. Break time - all classes (reception times can vary)
12.00 - 12.45 pm. Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 Lunchtime
12.00 - 1.00 pm. R, Y1 and Y2 Lunchtime
12.45 - 3.00 pm. KS2 Afternoon session.
1.00 - 3.00 pm. R, Y1 and Y2 Afternoon session.
3.00 pm School ends
Monday - 2.20 pm - Whole School Star of the Week and Attendance Assembly
Friday - 1.30 KS1 assembly 2pm - KS2 assembly
Parents are often asked to attend other assemblies such as our end of half term Headteacher's awards assembly. School would keep parents informed regarding these dates.
