A very warm welcome to the Reception class of 2017/18! This year we will do everything we can to ensure your child makes a happy and settled start to school life.
This half term our topic is Planes, Trains and Automobiles!
We will be learning about different types of transport. We have a visit from Merseyside Fire Service and our Lolly-pop lady Sandra to teach us about road safety.
Snack money is £1 per week
PE kits should be kept in school - available to buy from PrimaDonna in Marion Square.
Homework will be given out weekly on Fridays. This will increase as the children settle in and will include spellings.
Please read daily with your child and comment in their reading record. Making time for reading 10 minutes a day will have a huge impact on your child's progress.
We follow the Read, Write Inc Phonics program.
